Spring Break

This past week was my girls Spring Break.  We took it pretty easy since we had just come back from Disney.  We started the weekend by running some errands, and we picked up our new piano.

Gianna takes lessons, as will Evie.  Yogi and I decided early on that they must take some sort of music, always.  Quitting isn't an option.  (Sounds mean, but we think it's a very important life skill.)  Piano seemed like an excellent place to start.  We purchased a used digital piano.  Like everything in life, pianos are going digital too.  We thought this would be a wonderful investment for our family.

Sunday we rearranged our house a bit.  When we moved in I had this grand ideas of having a wonderful dining room.  That quickly went away when we realized we should use the space for a playroom.  Nowadays it's the office/piano room since my mom will be moving in soon (more on that later).

Monday we went to our usually library story/craft time.  Gianna was excited since she's usually in school when Evie and I do this.  Then we went to Gatti Town...similar to Chuck E Cheese.   The girls had a blast.

Tuesday we went to Brinca...it's an indoor inflatable bounce house that we have a membership to.  We try to go at least once a week to burn off some energy.  Evie had Tee-Ball practice.

Wednesday we hit the beach.  The wind was chilly, so we only stayed about an hour and the girls were shivering when we left from playing the cold water.  Evie had Tee-Ball practice, again.

Thursday we tried out the Corpus Christi Science and History Museum.  They have a nice little kid's learning/play area they seemed to like.  But, when it came to actually looking at the exhibits, they weren't too interested.  They tried to make Evie have Tee-Ball practice, once again, but we felt three days in a row for a 3 year old is well....stupid...so we didn't attend.

They do have some amazing replicas of Christopher Columbus' ships.  So much smaller than I would have imagined.

Friday we met some new friends at the mall to play and eat lunch.

We finished up the weekend with some yard work, playtime, and yummy food on the grill.

A nice little break, but everyone was ready to get back on schedule.
